Dear reader,
The second issue of Pause Magazine is an ode to the summer and all the warmth, joy and relief that comes with the summer break.

This issue includes wonderful works of art, writing and dance received from the students of Middle School. Thank you, to the students for submitting and to the new members on the Editorial Team for their work on this issue.

With Issue 2, the Magazine is marking the close of an unusual academic year, and I hope it reflects the thoughts and feelings that made up the last year.

Dear Reader,
The second issue of Pause Magazine is finally here, and it’s left me with a bittersweet feeling. I never would have imagined having the privilege to run this magazine alongside Anushka over the past year. Over a course of the last 8 months, our journey as a publication has not only expanded but also managed to flourish despite the trials and tribulations we each have faced. Going into this pandemic, I didn’t expect ending my journey as an MYP student while also being one of the Editors-in-chief of this magazine.
Knowing this is our last issue as heads of the publication, I’d like to extend my gratitude to every member of the team for putting countless hours of effort into creating the website and bearing the fruits of our labor as we reach the end of our journey here. I’d like to thank all the readers and viewers for supporting our venture throughout this year. Perhaps sometimes if we allow the fast-paced and uncertain world around us to stop spinning for more than a few moments, new creations are born out of the passion and the hope of materialising those notions.
I hope you all enjoyed this journey as much as we have, and I encourage each and every one of you to take a moment to pause and capture the world around you, be it in art or literature or even performance, simply try to admire the beauty born from the chaos of our society.

Dear Reader,
All of the hours I've spent reading classic literature, engaging in fruitful debate and absorbing the latest pop culture phenomena could only prepare me so much for the responsibility that I now carry as the new editor-in-chief of Pause. To succeed the founding members of Pause is a daunting task, but it is a task that my new editorial board and I will carry out to the best of our ability.
We hope to provide you with a diverse selection of content that emphasises the journalistic, innovative and creative talent of the brilliant minds that Pause aims to represent. As we usher in a new era of Pause, we hope to stimulate, inspire and impart the deep affection we have for Pause with you.
